Fly Away

I was wrong, the birds didn't go away and still will not. I think they are stocking us. They are also leaving a large amout of poop on my sidewalk and rocks.

Birds

Today there were two birds that sat in my front yard all morning long. When I walked up to them to see if they were hurt they didn't move. They are now gone and I am confused.

The Digital Age

Since I gave up scrap booking awhile back (it got too frilly and expensive for me) I have been trying to figure out the best way to organize my photos. After, discovering digital photo journals I decided that it was the way to go. Since then I have been using My Publisher to create lost of journals. Unfortunately, the last journal I had printed was terrible quality and left me wishing I had used a different publisher. So I spent many days looking online for a publisher that would meat my needs. After reading a blog entry posted by my friend Kayla I finally found what I had been looking for.

Blup (funny name, cool site) has great software that allows you to make beautiful books at the same price as those other guys. So far I have only designed two pages but I am loving it! I think the book is going to turn out really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing what the print quality is like. I'll keep you posted...no pun intended ;)

Sorry I have nothing else to write about

I was living in Austin, Texas and about to complete my first year at Bailey Middle School, which was a huge achievement considering the heck I had to go through being the "new kid" in middle school. By this point in the school year I was beginning to make friends and really enjoying myself as a sprinter on the school's track team. I absolutely loved competing in the 800M relay!

5 Things on my to do list
Finish painting my last hallway door in order to be completely done painting the familyroom
Return my library book, "The Strong Willed Child" (I have many at my school)
Pull weeds
Mail my NetFlix back
Enjoy my weekend

5 Snacks I love
Mini rice cakes (too bad they are ridiculously expensive)
Cheese and crackers
Yogurt
Mixed nuts
Apples

5 Places I've lived
Mesa, AZ
Japan
Mesa, AZ
Austin, TX
Mesa, AZ
Flagstaff, AZ
Mesa, AZ

In that order, notice a pattern?! I just can't stay away from this place!

What would I do if I suddenly became a Billionaire
I would visit all the places in the world that I currently can only dream of ever seeing. Since the money would last my whole life time I would never stop going places. Dave and I would become like that couple on Discovery Channel's 100 Places to See Before You Die. Then we would pick our favorite and build a home there. It would be great.

5 Jobs I've had
SunSplash Lifeguard (woot woot)
Cook and cashier for Chick-fil-a
Swim Instructor
Kids Corner Aid
Personnel Coordinator

7 Things you probably don't know about me
I never cry during movies, give me the saddest movie you can think of and I promise you it won't make me cry. Not sure what that means about me.?
I hate cats.
I have this stupid habit of going to the grocery store and seeing something that I need to buy and not putting it in the cart. Later I realize how bad I needed it and I then end up having to make a separate trip just for that one item.
I've always wished that I had a talent for singing.
I know how to pick a door lock.
I can't do the splits.
I played the saxophone for 6 years.

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, I can't believe Dave and I have been married two years! To celebrate the day, Dave took the day off of work and we spent the whole day hanging out together (I already had the day off b/c of Spring Break, yay for spring break.) It was awesome!

The amazing day started off with a nice breakfast. I made yummy donut muffins and eggs. The rest of the morning exemplified the theme of the day; "there's no such thing as time." We played cards together, laid around, and then decided to go on a picnic.

At Freestone park we played a little tennis. I'm terrible, especially when compared to Dave, but we had a good time. Check out Dave's power serve.

Our company at lunch:

After lunch at the park we went home and cleaned up for a movie and dinner. We went and saw Vantage Point. It was alright, nothing that must been seen in the theater. After much debate as to where to go for dinner, we ended up at Anzio Landing. I love place. It's beautiful there and their creme brulee is to die for. We went home and watched the Suns beat the Trailblazers, it was the perfect end to the perfect day. To me the day felt like a day activity for a dance, only difference was (besides there being no dance) I actually liked my date, and I didn't have to say goodbye at the end. :)

Once again, I love spring

In celebration of not having to go to Swimkids my mom and I went on a hike out by the Superstition Mountains. It was a beautiful day and spring has definitely sprung!

Fruit season

I love spring and summer because they mean fresh fruit. On Saturday I was at Sprouts and they had blueberries on sale for 4 for $5, so I bought some. I got home and got on the internet and started looking for something yummy to make with my blueberries. I found a recipe for blue berry breakfast bars. I've never made breakfast bars before so I thought it would be a great thing to try. I'm so glad I was right. The bars were easy to make and they turned out great.
