Happy Birthday Dave!
February is all about Dave. His birthday is on the 8th and then I get to spoil him again on the 14th. This year for his birthday, I made him his favorite breakfast, eggs benedict. Then I made him close his eyes while I'll pulled out his gift.
I knew he would be surprised to see the size of the box, and boy was he.
And what was in it? A much needed new suit! Yeah!
The day before Valentine's I found Dave's car at work and did this number to it :D He loved the pink writing all over it.
Then on Valentine's morning I made him this special breakfast (I love making breakfast) along with a treasure hunt to find his gift.
It was two very sweet days! I have the greatest husband and I love to spoil him.

Found
At approximately 9:25 on Saturday night Raquel discovered one missing bridal set lying in the bottom of a drawer amongst dust, hair, and various hairstyling items. The drawer is being held for questioning and charged with one account of kidnapping and 2 accounts of deceit (as I am absolutely sure I searched that drawer twice.)

Peaches. For for me.
When I was about two years old I remember, and yes I do remember, walking around our backyard in my diaper. There I would sit down in the cool mud, under the shade of a peach tree, and eat juicy rotten peaches from the ground. They were delicious! And while today I prefer the fresh one from the tree, still love peaches!
Dave was a great hole digger.
We both enjoyed tucking it in the making the well.

So with the end of winter upon us (can you believe, it already?!) Dave and I planted a peach tree in our backyard.

I'm lazy
Because I'm lazy and never posted about Christmas I thought I'd let my mom do it for me.
We had a wonderful Christmas. And having two weeks off wasn't so shabby either. I did a lot of sleeping in, hanging out with family, eating of sweets, and not excersizing. I ended up gaing 2 pounds, but it was totally worth it.

Say Goodbye to Yesterday
At a first look upon 2008, it's easy to think, "it was a really hard year!"
The year began with my father's mother having a heart attack and spending three months in the hospital. Her heart attack was followed by the heart attack of my mother's father and the personal realization that my grandparents are getting old and may not be with me much longer.
In the late spring I was diagnosed with PCOS and spent way too many months letting the effects of this syndrome occupy my thoughts and feelings.
On a daily basis, I struggled with a job I disliked, and life I saw going nowhere as each month passed by with only the hope that someday I would get pregnant.
But a deeper look proves much more, I have learned probably more about myself and life this year than ever before. For the first time I can understand, to a very small degree, what others feel when life tells them their health isn't what they always thought it was. Also, I have learned the real meaning of "attitude is everything."
Despite the challenges, this year has been full of blessings! My grandmother, while not fully recovered, survived. Considering her previous state, that is really saying something. During her recovery, I was able to developed a stronger relationship with my grandmother and grandfather. I don't believe that everyone can say that when both their grandparents where met with a heart attack that both made it through. That truly is a blessing.
No matter what challenges life brings it's good to know that best parts always stay constant; I have always had the love and friendship of a wonderful man.
Who I have been able to do great things with this year; such as
Snowboarding in New Mexico.

Celebrating a second anniversary

Welcoming new members of the family

Visiting the greatest place on earth
And spending a night in Las Vegas.
And I have a wonderful family that I have been able to share it with.

So well 2008 has been a little less of the expected, and a little more of the unexpected. I'm grateful the blessings my Savior has given me, namely the opportunity to be washed clean of feelings past, be forgiven, and be made new. So goodbye to yesterday and hello 2009. I am excited about starting again, about the hope and excitement that the unknowing holds. I am ready to make my life more of what I want it to be. So in the words of Natasha Bedingfield
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
